ALPHA: Rose Everett
^{The highest ranking wolf. May be either gender. S/he makes and executes decisions for the well-being of the pack. In the Eastern pack there is only one Alpha.}
BETAS: Joby Claesson
^{Second-in-command and essentially, the Alpha's closest friends. These are the people s/he places the utmost trust in. They often help with the decision-making and are a powerful influence. Technically there is no limit, but there are usually no more than three betas.}

^{More friends of the Alpha's. These are the ones who have it in with him/her, are friends of friends, or just got lucky. Their main purpose is to take orders from the Alpha and Betas and keep other subordinates in line. Known for flaunting their authority despite the fact that they're only the third rung.}

^{In a typical wolf pack, these would be all of the subordinate males and females. Easterners simply call them all "hunters." Some are more dominant than others, but their only real power is in numbers.}
