This little strip mall wraps right around the lake. It's fringed by docks so you can pay to take a boat tour, or you can stay on land and just feed the ducks. It's also a good spot for a date: there's miniature golfing, ice cream, shopping, and a variety of restaurants.

Like Big Bear, Lake Arrowhead is another well-known mountain community. Though it's usually bustling with tourists, locals can also enjoy the city's quaint charms as it's only about a 15 minute drive from Blackwood.
