Hanna Flats Campground

Just a good drive down the road from part of Big Bear called RimForest is a charming little camp ground nestled deep in the forest. If you're awake early enough in the morning, just before it starts getting light, then you can hear the lumber trucks rolling up and down the road...which isn't really all that charming, but you take what you can get. People like to think these woods are docile, but every camper has heard rumors of bears nestled where the trees are the thickest... and everyone knows about the mountain lions.
